Wer sich im Kakadu Nationalpark aufhält, sollte eine morgendliche Bootsfahrt auf Yellow Waters, bei der Gagudju Cooinda Lodge nicht verpassen. Die Spiegelungen der im Wasser stehenden Bäume im Morgenlicht ist unbeschreiblich schön.

Die Tierwelt ist üppig. Unzählige Vogelarten können vom Boot aus beobachtet werden. Darunter befinden sich Adler, Kingfischer (Der Kookabarra oder zu Deutsch der Lachende Hans gehört in diese Familie), Wattvögel, Enten usw. Aber auch Krokodile sind zu sehen. Vielleicht kommen Sie gerade noch dazu, wenn ein Fischer einen riesigen Barramundi aus dem Wasser zieht.
