Australien: Kata Tjuta (Olgas) Nationalpark

Unterwegs im Northern Territory, Australien
Fahrt mit dem Mietauto zu den Olgas (Kata Tjuta) und ein morgendlicher Rundflug mit dem Helikopter (Scenic Flight) um und über den Nationalpark

Kata Tjuta (oder die Olgas, wie die australischen Einwanderer dieses Gebiet genannt haben) sind eine Ansammlung kleinerer Monolithen, ähnlich dem Uluru. Auch Kata Tjuta ist ein heiliger Ort der Aboriginees, was der Tourist respektieren sollte.

Es führt eine Strasse von Yulara zu den Olgas. Unterwegs gibt es einige offizielle Aussichtplätze. Anhalten auf offener Strasse ist verboten. Wer Glück hat, kann jedoch beim Vorbeifahren auch mal ein Kamel sehen.

Je nach Lichteinfall nehmen die Felsen des Kata Tjuta Nationalparks verschiedene Farben ein. Auch bei Regen sind die Olgas interessant und geeignete Fotomotive.

Die Olgas kann man auch aus der Luft mit einem Helikopter betrachten. Die Scenic Flights starten beim Conolan Airport, in der Nähe des Yulara Resorts. Aufgrund des speziellen Sonneneinfalls sind Sunrise- oder Sunset-Rundflüge am eindrücklichsten.
