Unterwegs im roten Zentrum im Herzen Australiens
Autofahrt Kings Canyon - Yulara und Helikopter Rundflug (scenic flight) ab Conolan Airport über das Touristenresort Yulara

Das Gebiet entlang des Ernest Giles Highway, der Luritja Road und dem Lasseter Highway zwischen Kings Canyon und Yulara ist kaum bewohnt.

Wer mal einen Camel-Burger versuchen möchte, bekommt diesen im kleinen Kings Creek Roadhouse. Ansonsten liegt nur noch das Curtin Springs Roadhouse an der Route. Der Mt. Conner Lookout ermöglicht dem Reisenden einen Blick auf den ziemlich weit entfernten Tafelberg Mt. Conner.

Eindrücklich ist die rote Farbe des sandigen Bodens und die zypressenartigen Bäume. Hin und wieder sieht man ein Pferd oder ein Kürbisgewächs in der Roten Erde.

Yulara Resort ist eine Ansammlung von Hotels, Herbergen und Campingplätzen. Hier ist auch der Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen der Uluru (Ayers Rock) und Katja Tjuta (Olgas) Nationalparks.

Helikopter - Rundflüge haben ihren Ausgangspunkt beim nahegelegenen Conolan Airport. Die Vogelperspektive gibt ein eindrückliches Bild vom "Red Center", dem Herzen Australiens.
