Australien: Port Arthur - Coles Bay

Unterwegs in Tasmanien, der grossen Insel im Süden Australiens
Route: Port Arthur - Sorell - Swansea - Coles Bay

Wer nicht den selben Weg zurückfahren möchte, kann von Port Arthur aus einen kleinen Umweg über Nubeena an die Wedge Bay machen. Bei Eaglehawk befindet sich Sehenswerte wie: Devils Kitchen, Tasman Arch, Tasman Blowhole, Tessellated Pavement oder einfach ein Lookout.

Für die Weiterfahrt kommt eigentlich nur der Arthur Highway und den Tasman Highway in Frage, da die Drittklass-Strassen über Kellevie und Nugent nicht an jedem Wochentag befahren werden dürfen.

Die Strecke über Dunalley, Copping, Forcett, Sorell, Orielton, Runnymede und Bucklan nach Orford führt etwas von der Küste weg und ist abwechslungreich.

Die Weiterfahrt geht von Triabunna, Little Swanport, Swansea, Cranbrook, Apslawn, Llandaff nach Coles Bay und führt nahe an der Küste vorbei. Die Flora zeigt sich auf der ganzen Strecke artenreich.
